Notre Dame -vs- Syracuse

Go Fighting Irish!!!

September 27, 2014 at Met Life Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Notre Dame vs Syracuse.  31 to 15, What a game. What a night.  Notre Dame defeats Syracuse.

If you have never been to a live football college game, then I recommend you go. The feeling is just outstanding. From the large marching band to the silly mascots, to the fans outburst....every moment will be remembered.

Regardless if your cheering for the Fighting Irish or Syracuse Orange, everyone is there for one purpose. To enjoy the game, have fun, and plan for the next great event.

Sports Photography

My true passion is sports photography. Everything from European futebol to Rally races.  The ability to capture that one amazing shot. That takes a true photographer. The ability to know when to shoot, to get that one great shot.
Most photographer's have told me that they take hundreds of photos before they get that one great shot.
Here are samples of my work. Let me know what you think. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

This game was at Yankee Stadium. Manchester City -vs- Liverpool.

This is one of my favorite shots. (image below)

Different types of photography

In class we started to go over different types of photography. It got me thinking. What kind of photography have I done?  Besides newborns and kids, I found that I have taken different types of photography.
As I went through my library I found the following categories:
Pets
Landscapes
Families
Sports
Events
Antique Car Shows
Rally Car Race

These  photos are of my dogs... Zelda (the Pit Bull), Oscar (the Boxer) and Axwell ( the Yorkie) . We had rescued Zelda from a dog fighting ring in Virginia. It's amazing how people assume pit bulls are vicious and dangerous. Truth is...she's very docile.  Even though these photos came out great, pet photography is extremely difficult. Every time I got close to my dogs, they only wanted to play.

Precious Little Ones

Today I'm going to share a little about my work. As I stated before, I am a Newborn Photographer. These photos were taken at Jamaica and Flushing hospital. These babies are a day old. My studio consists of the mothers hospital bed, a white bed sheet, a small bean bag to prop the baby on, and simple little props that enhance my photos and subjects.

Newborns are flexible and allow me to position them easily. This type of work does require you to have lots of patients. Just when you think you've got a great pose, these little guys move, and you have to start all over.

New Beginnings

After so many years, four children, a new life with my true love, and a new baby on the way, I have decided to return to school and fulfill my passion in photography.

I'm a Newborn photographer at Jamaica and Flushing Hospital but would love to expand my experience to sports photography and beautiful landscapes.

In my first semester I'm taking Photography Seminar and Digital Photography I. I'm so excited to see what this semester will bring. Our first assignment is to create a weekly blog. Where to start?  Never blogged before.
For my first assignment, I have chosen these two photos. These photos were taken at Montauk Point, Long Island.  My son had an assignment to shoot the lighthouse. I decided to shoot him at work.
