Reaction Paper on SCCC Eastern Campus Student Art Exhibit
SCCC Eastern Campus has an exceptional exhibit at the Lyceum Gallery. From November 3 - December 9, 2014, SCCC Eastern Campus has an art exhibit at the Montaukett Learning Resource Center. The exhibit consists of amazing work in the following departments:
Photography
Computer Art
Graphic Design
Interior Design
I submitted one of my photo projects to the art exhibit. I call it
" City Drive".
This photo was taken driving back to Long Island on the Williamsburg Bridge. It was an early afternoon. Hardly any traffic. Making it easy for me to shoot the photo. I had taken so many continuous shots but when I went to see and edit, this one was perfect.
It was exciting to see my photo in the Lyceum Gallery. There were so many great works.
Projects from Digital Photo, Interior Design, Graphic Design and Computer Art. There were so many great art works. You couldn't tell the difference from digital photo 1 to digital photo 4. All the artworks at the exhibit were exceptional. These students had great vision and composition. They truly impressed me. I recommend everyone to go and take a look.

Reaction Paper on Katherine Liepe - Levinson
Katherine Liepe - Levinson, a Fine Art Photographer, was a guest speaker at my photography seminar class. Her work features images of single exposure digital photography with no photoshop. Only basic lightroom adjustments. To adjust the contrast and even lower the saturation. She likes to be known as a pure photographer.
Her work features:
Water works
In the woods
New York, New York
Hampton's up close
and other great works.
Her background includes professional dancer, actor, author and educator.
Her life story captured my attention. After years as a professional dancer she was injured and unable to dance. Where most people would have given up she decided to go back to school. Something I can relate to. She received her PHD in theater from New York City's Cuny Graduate Center.
She gave us a brief intro to the business side of Fine Art Photography. How to present your work to a gallery. How to stand out from the rest. To be fully prepared with a portfolio of your work. If one gallery doesn't appreciate your work, other's will.
She also showed us a series of her work. It featured photos of a pond with water reflections and New York City window reflections. I loved the water reflection photos. I would have never of thought of taking photos in that matter. The colors, the shapes, the water ripples the turtle and fishes just made the images unique and amazing. I decided to put her work to the test. I went out and photographed some water reflections myself. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It was different yet fun. Of course my photos don't even compare to her work. I still have so much to learn but enjoying every minute of it.

Cayla's First Birthday Photo Shoot
I know I have so much to learn, but I love to photograph babies and kids. They are so innocent and carefree that it makes my work that easier to shoot.
This weekend I had done a photo shoot for Cayla's First Birthday. She loved the camera.
Here are some samples.

Bring Summer Back
I love the summer. Everything about it. The bright sun shining through the windows. The heat touching your skin. The ability to take a vacation. To drive to the beach and walk the warm sands. To smell the ocean breeze. The best part of summer, for me, is to be able to take out my jet ski and jump some amazing waves.
The feeling of freedom and the exhilaration I get from the jumps, It relieves my everyday stress and I feel so alive.
Once the summer is gone, I walk the boardwalk, from Fire Island to Long Beach. Wishing summer would arrive soon.

Landscape Photography
I enjoy taking road trips. Getting in a car and taking the open road. See what's out in the world.
This past July we took a trip to North Conway, New Hampshire. It was breathtaking. The mountains, the skies, the rivers, and of course the people. Extremely friendly and pleasant.
See for yourself and let me know what you think.

Old Vintage -vs New Modern
So?....... What type of car lover are you?
Are you the type who admires the old, classic, stylish Styleline and Fleetline models?
Are you the type who can't get enough of the crazy stew of racing, high performance, speed loving, cars?
The spring and fall, all over the Island, you will find many types of car show. Thousand of people come to admire these cars. It's one of my favorite events.
I've always loved the Chevrolet Bel Air's. 1950 to 1957, red hot two door, white interior, convertible, retro style. Makes me want to go back in time and experience the 50's.
Another favorite of mine are the rat rods. The creation people come up with. In one word "AMAZING"!!!
Today many are in love with the Ford Mustangs. Mustangs today can be simple, everyday used cars, to high speed performance cars. As beautiful as they may be on the outside, you have to take a good look under the hood to get an appreciation for the car. Many GT's today are so upgraded to perform as well as the Shelby's.

Notre Dame -vs- Syracuse
Go Fighting Irish!!!
September 27, 2014 at Met Life Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Notre Dame vs Syracuse. 31 to 15, What a game. What a night. Notre Dame defeats Syracuse.
If you have never been to a live football college game, then I recommend you go. The feeling is just outstanding. From the large marching band to the silly mascots, to the fans outburst....every moment will be remembered.
Regardless if your cheering for the Fighting Irish or Syracuse Orange, everyone is there for one purpose. To enjoy the game, have fun, and plan for the next great event.

Sports Photography
My true passion is sports photography. Everything from European futebol to Rally races. The ability to capture that one amazing shot. That takes a true photographer. The ability to know when to shoot, to get that one great shot.
Most photographer's have told me that they take hundreds of photos before they get that one great shot.
Here are samples of my work. Let me know what you think. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.
This game was at Yankee Stadium. Manchester City -vs- Liverpool.
